sms verification problem

Edit Subject

I need help with signing up. I've entered my country code and it identified the country. I entered my mobile number and password and was asked to wait "waiting for SMS verification, please wait..." for a good fifteen minutes several times and no SMS arrived. I tried searching the internet for similar cases and it seems like I'm the only one with the problem.

Please check the mobile number is the one you use. Youlu will make your phone send a text message to your phone. So you must write the phone number you use.

  1.you input your number correctly.
  2.your mobile phone is able to receive message normally.
  3.you didn't have any security app installed ,which may blocked the message.

  disabled "protection" of the "lookout" app and tried again. still loading the "waiting for verification" message. may i know
  
  1. whether i'm supposed to let it load all the way till something pops up? (i've always done that, anyway)
  2. what are the different sms settings? are there any screencaps which spells out the setting in full? it's like "control notificatio... (insert checkbox)" what's this setting for?

  Oh I found it, another language bug... the 6 settings are:
  1.show pop-up window when new sms
  2.show pop-up window detail when new sms
  3.show notification when new sms
  4.sound when new sms
  5.vibrate when new sms
  6.turn off the system notification for new sms
  we'll fix the problem asap.

  i realised if i create a new message draft, it wouldn't show up in the inbox with the "draft", i have to go to the stock text messaging app and retrieve it. just so you know ;)
  
  suggestion >
  when phone is on standby, if possible the sms notification to pop up and fade to standby after awhile?

  didn't receive...so...I have no idea right now, our engineer will try other ways to locate and resolve the problem, and it takes time....

hmm in the uk ull put 0787 to call another mobile in the uk but say from america you put +44787 (- the 0) ive tried my number with and without the 0 and im not getting the verification

having problems with sms notification. didn't know i received messages till my friends notified me that i wasn't replying. turned out even with enabling of sms notification pop up and sms count, when i start up the phone, the app didn't notify me of new text messages.
phone model: milestone 2 a953

revert to using chompsms

by the way, is there a change in interface if an incoming call comes in? i do not see any change reflected, if there is.

still can't sign up on youlu.com. pop up saying "Please download the Youlu Address Book install it on a suitable mobile phone, then select the“Sign up” option in the Settings tab ."

actually I found a solution. i downloaded an older version over Youlu, and signed up. Then I updated via Android Market to the latest version while it kept the sync settings. Thanks anyway.
